Dr. Chung graduated from the University of Washington in 1991 and obtained his dental degree in 1995 from the Columbia University, School of Dental and Oral Surgery. Prior to starting his oral surgery residency, Dr. Chung completed a one year fellowship in oral & maxillofacial surgery at the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in 1996, and a one year anesthesiology residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in 1997.
Dr. Chung completed his oral & maxillofacial surgery residency at the New York Medical College, Metropolitan Hospital Center in 2001. Soon after completing his residency training, Dr. Chung moved out West to San Francisco, and in 2005 started the Dental Implant & Oral Surgery Center (DIOS Center).
Dr. Chung is on staff at the California Pacific Medical Center - St. Luke's Campus in San Francisco, and is an associate clinical professor at the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry.
Dr. Chung is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, California Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the San Francisco Dental Society. He is also a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.
